Fenrig opened the shack's door and saw two men sitting at a table playing Domino, two others were by the fireplace and one sitting by himself. They all gave him the evil eye, the lone man spoke up: ''You want to cross the desert too?''. He sat are a table and the back door opened up and a familiar silhouette came out of it, Esmeralda. They looked at each other without saying a word, ''You don't answer questions or what'' said the lone man, he then got up and approached Fenrig's and table and grabbed his hand, Fenrig got up, removed his hand and punched him in the face and a fight started between the two. The man took out a dagger; ''put that dagger away and leave the kid alone'' said one of the men. He holstered his dagger, looked at Fenrig and said ''I'm not through with you''. Moments after, arrived three men and told everybody to pack their things up ''Two more people and we're ready to go''. Fenrig told him that he was not going with them, and decided to return to the forest, but as soon as he started walking towards the forest, he saw a dozen of horsemen talking to the two Paladins, he met earlier, he recognized one of the horsemen, he was one of the kings close guards, Fenrig didn't have the time to think of a plan to pass without them seeing him, as he saw them approaching the shack. Everybody stepped out as the horsemen and one arrived, one of the paladins explained the situation to everyone ''Listen to me, these horsemen are guards, they’re here to ask you some questions, the faster you answer the faster you can get on your way''. One of the guards started asking the travelers’ questions, one after the other. It was Fenrig's turn, he asked him: ''What's your name?''

The head of the guards ordered them to knock him unconscious and took him. Fenrig, seeing that there was no escape from his deeds consequences, decided to join the expedition.
