Arriving at an arid area, the Terge warned the group of Orn deposits underground. ''These deposits will explode if you step on them and will undoubtedly kill you'' Ilam decided to go around the area, which he judged an unnecessary risk. But going around was no longer an option when they saw a horde of Carnas approaching them, at first it was only three or four of them, but closer they got the more of them the group could see, Once close enough Ilam could clearly see the real number, No less than 30 Carnas was rushing towards them. As they had no choice, Esmeralda told everybody to form a line and follow her, she opened her bag and took out a large crystal and started walking through the Orn mines, leaving the Dremurs behind. Every time the crystal Glow she changed path, the group was carefully following her, terrified, not from the Orn mines, but from the Carnas approaching them. When the first Carnas reached the area, the last man in the line panicked and started running, Ilam tried to talk him back into the line, but it was too late as he stepped over one of the mines ad exploded. The Carnas kept on approaching when one of them stepped on a mine, the explosion shredded it to pieces, at the sight of this, and the horde stopped chasing the group, turned around and ran in the opposite direction. Once the group reached the end of this explosive area, everybody sat on the ground and tried to catch their breath, thinking that they were doomed because the Dremurs which contained all their water were left behind, which suddenly got worse when they saw the horde of Carnas approaching them again from another direction. As the beasts approached, the group heard a horn blowing in the distance.
