Once out of the crevice Fenrig saw a cliff with a mild drop and shouted at everybody to jump with him, Only Ilam, the Terge and Esmeralda followed him, when Esmeralda jumped down she broke her ankle, the rest of the group, deciding to not trust him, and choose to run in the opposite direction. As the Basilic could only see them, he decided to chase the rest of the expedition, leaving some time to Fenrig and Ilam to carry Esmeralda and ran towards Darl, exiting the desert. Only a half leagues later, they started seeing the Basilic again, running at them with a bloodied mouth. Fenrig saw two trees at a distance, one was Golden and the other was Silver, and told Ilam to try climbing them. ''Go ahead, I’ll try to fight it for a bit, you might have the time to get on top'' Fenrig led the way, carrying Esmeralda on his shoulders, When he got closer to the trees he turned around at Ilam seeing him getting hacked in half by the Basilic's tail, and started running towards the trees. Fenrig had barely time to climb the trees before the Basilic reached them and started circling them.
